All cottages have their own pretty gardens.
Eight acres of shared grounds and gardens—set against a backdrop of wonderful scenery—with barbeque and Summerhouse.
Well equipped kitchens with cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, iron and board.
Cot/travelcot, highchair and stairgate available on request.
All units share a Resource room/Laundry with a wide range of local information, a tumble dryer and a freezer.

There's lots to do locally without driving too far - we keep a 'Really Local Log Book' of less than 10 mile trips.
Dogs welcome. (£25 per dog.) Exercise field and lots of walks.
WiFi - But being in a rural area broadband speeds are low.

Downstairs, Woodpecker Cottage is quarry-tiled throughout. It has an open-plan, beamed living room / kitchenette and a bathroom with over-bath power shower. The kitchen area is cleverly planned, complete with dishwasher. A washing machine and tumble drier ( at modest charge) are sited elsewhere in a shared Laundry room. There is a pretty, beamed double bedroom upstairs with a king sized bed. A french door leads from the living room to an attractive, sheltered garden.
This cottage has infra-red central heating. The cost is similar to oil fired heating.
The basic price is around half what you would expect to pay if booking through an agency. You save money by bringing your own bedlinen, towels, toiletries, etc., and you use the level of heating you choose – charged at cost.. No charge is made for cleaning but tenants should leave the cottage in a clean condition, as found. A £50 security deposit is payable on booking.

Your cottage is a short stroll from the friendly, pretty village of Membury (one of a handful of English parishes still celebrating the tradition of Oak Apple Day in May). Visit Membury Castle, one of several impressive iron age hill forts in this historically rich area. History and nature abound; the Hawkswood and Thurlbear Wood nature reserves are nearby.
Lea Hill Cottages are set among a network of bridleways and footpaths wandering through some of the most attractive country in the whole of England. A perfect place for off-road walking and riding with livery available locally by arrangement. Easily reached starting points give access to the famous South West Coast Path walk along the coastline of Dorset and Devon with public transport pick ups to return you to your starting point.
